You’ve been dealing with recurring injuries or persistent pain that just won’t go away – even after seeing multiple providers, trying self-help methods, or going through surgery. Victor focuses on identifying the real root cause, so you’re guided down the right path from the start.
Competitive Athletes
You want to reach the next level in your sport. Whether you run, lift, fight, shoot, or smash, progress requires more than just hard work. Victor individualizes comprehensive training programmes that improve performance while avoiding injuries, so that your body can support your true potential.
About Me
- Physical Preparation Coach, Singapore – over 15 years in the health and fitness industry.
- Trained under Ian King (King Sports International) since 2011 – KSI is a global pioneer in preparing elite athletes, with over 40 years of experience.
- One of a small number of coaches worldwide developed to KSI high-level coach standard.
- Works with active adults and competitive athletes across basketball, BJJ, golf, running, swimming, boxing, powerlifting, tennis, pickleball and more.
- Focus: individualized program design for injury prevention and sports performance – uncovering the real limiting factors to train and compete at your potential, not just treating symptoms.
Growing up I’ve always been active, sports were a huge part of my life. I believed that being able to move and play without limitations was one of life’s greatest privileges.
That privilege was challenged when I started strength training in my late teens. With YouTube and gym friends as my only guides, progress came quickly – and so did injuries.
Training stopped, daily life and work were affected as well. I learnt a hard lesson: training hard doesn’t always mean training well. That experience led me to search for better, safer ways to train.
That journey of self-improvement naturally led me to helping others train too.
In 2011, I began my education with King Sports International (KSI) - the world's pioneer in training elite athletes with over 40 years of experience. This system gave me a practical framework to understand the body, prevent injuries and enhance performance beyond guesswork and generic programs.
Today, I work with both active adults and competitive athletes. I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all solutions - because every body is different. I collaborate closely with my clients to understand their goals, limitations, and history, so we can build plans that work in real life.
As I continue my ongoing development with KSI as a high level coach (a role held by only a small number of coaches worldwide), my goal is to help you fulfill your physical potential while staying healthy, resilient, and injury-free for the long run.
HOW IT WORKS
1. INTRODUCTORY CALL
We start with a quick 10 minute complimentary call to understand your situation, goals, and whether we’re the right fit to work together. This ensures clarity on both sides before moving
2. Consultation
Through an in-person or online consultation, we take a deeper look at your background, training history, and current limitations to identify what’s really holding you back.
From there, we design an individualized plan tailored to your body and goals
3. Applying Your Plan
You’ll learn how to apply your plan properly. We focus on execution, understanding, and building confidence so you’re not guessing your way through training.
4. Progression & Ongoing Support
As your body adapts and goals evolve, we adjust your plan accordingly. Follow-up sessions ensure you stay on track, train appropriately, and continue progressing without injuries breaking your momentum.
Happiness Policy
My goal is to provide a high standard of care and coaching at every step.
If you ever feel this hasn’t been the case, let me know and I’ll gladly refund your session.

As someone in my 40s training for maintenance and longevity rather than competition, his work has genuinely improved how I perform and feel day to day. He understands how to work with a body that needs to stay functional for the long term, not just peak for a season. Highly recommend him.Posted on Google Wyna KhooTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I recently hurt my back right before an overseas trip and needed to get it sorted quickly. Thankfully, Victor was able to accommodate my schedule and treat my back promptly. What I really appreciated was how thorough and attentive he was throughout the process. He gave very clear instructions on how to self-manage and treat the pain while I was away, and even followed up to make sure everything was going well. Thanks to his treatment and advice, I recovered much faster and was able to minimize the pain significantly during my trip. Big thank you to Victor — highly recommend him to anyone dealing with sports injuries, muscle aches, or any kind of body pain. Especially great for athletes or active individuals looking for someone knowledgeable and genuinely caring.Posted on Google EarthmanTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Victor knows his stuff super well, improved my knee and back issues within a session.Posted on Google dai xinlongTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Came to victor with really bad shoulders and rotator cuff and after months or personalised exercises and advice it has really improved alot and was able to go back to playing basketballPosted on Google Elvina AmandaTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Victor is a very patient and detailed therapist. He checked the history that may cause the issue on my parent’s lower back and leg very carefully before he started the session. After the session, both my parents can feel immediate relief in the pain they had. The daily therapy sessions he recommended also helped to improve their condition. The pain they had on their lower back and leg have now improved.Posted on Google Danny Chaw yijieTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. As a competitive boxer, balancing physical training with boxing sessions was one of my biggest challenges. During this period, I saw clear improvements in my overall strength, conditioning, and how I approached training more intentionally as an athlete. I’m grateful for the guidance and time he invested in my development, and I wish him all the best as he continues his coaching journey. Highly recommended for athletes looking to improve their strength and conditioning.Posted on Google john leeTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. If you're looking for long-term progress in pain relief rather than just short term solutions, Victor is your guy. He does a thorough assessment and gives really clear instructions on how to address root causes of the pains. I came to him with lower back pain on one side that flared up especially after sport, and his diagnosis was so accurate that I've been pain-free ever since. He gave instructions on how to stretch and roll out my muscles which contributed to it with a daily plan and also pre-sport stretching routines. I honestly didn't think it would be able to play sport without this pain/ache flaring up, but his diagnosis and stretching plan has worked so well. No more need for tuina just to feel that 10% better. If you've got chronic pain or aches go see him, you won't regret it!Posted on Google Stella AmandaTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I contacted Victor initially because of chronic neck and shoulder pain that I've had for years (due to bad posture and desk work). I have been to other service providers for about two years (chiropractor and physiotherapist), but they provided only temporary relief. After sessions, the pain would be gone for few days, one week at best, and they'd come again. I was struggling to do some physical activities I enjoy (yoga, swimming, etc) without having to suffer the pain afterwards. I wanted to find a way to be able to manage the pain, if not resolve it. Victor was very responsive and through a phone call, he gathered more details about my condition and explained to me the prospect of progress and healing. During the session itself, Victor was very thorough, checking which parts might be responsible for the pain. He was open to all of my questions and explained in detail some muscles functions, which I didn't know beforehand. While planning a rehab program, he took into consideration my schedule and routine, to make sure the program could be completed properly. In between sessions, Victor also made himself approachable through text, which was helpful, in case we have questions while doing the rehab program. Victor's rehab program was very effective for me. By two weeks, I've seen improvement in my range of motion as well as reduced pain. I could do yoga poses, which I couldn't do before without pain. And also, Victor is definitely not pushy (hard selling) of his service, not wanting us to keep coming back to him like some other providers would want. It has been a great, truly personalized service. I'm very thankful to Victor and now recommending him to my family members who also struggle with pain 😁Posted on Google Subramanian PadmagirisanTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I approached Victor initially because of trouble with my hamstrings. I walked away with a thorough plan of action to address the issues and was able to fully resolve them. I appreciate that his approach relies on concrete metrics to track improvement, rather than a vague sense of "feeling better." Following his program has led to improvements in my performance and kept me pain- and injury-free.Posted on Google Thriguna DewiTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Initially, my husband went to Victor. Then I went. Since then, I’ve recommended him to everyone I know who experiences physical problems. He's helped me with back and shoulder pain, and other more worrisome ambiguous symptoms (like excessive heatiness and hair loss) by identifying root causes instead of just treating symptoms. He explains clearly, and gives exercises or proposes lifestyle changes I can do on my own. I don't need to wait for a session or go regularly. It's a one and done, where he goes through the problems and what you can do about it. After that, it's up to me to implement them. Sometimes a session is just conversation, which I really appreciate as he's focused on what would help you meet your goals or address your symptoms. And often, that comes down to habits and lifestyle and having someone else critically think about it is the help you really need. I also appreciate that he works on aging related issues (he's worked with my mom), not only sports-related fitness. I'm always happy I walk away with practical tools to manage my health.Load moreVerified by TrustindexTrustindex verified badge is the Universal Symbol of Trust. Frequently Asked Questions
Why do my injuries keep recurring, even after rehab, treatment or surgery?
Because the real problem hasn’t been addressed. Many people receive temporary relief, then continue the same habits in the same environment that caused the issue in the first place. When nothing changes, injuries return.
You don’t need another round of relief - you need a structured injury prevention coaching approach that addresses the root cause, and stops the same cycle from repeating.
Want to understand exactly why this keeps happening? Read the full breakdown here.
How can I fix chronic knee, back, or shoulder pain without endless treatment?
Pain relief alone isn’t the answer. When you understand why pain happens, what triggers it, and how to address the deeper issue, real progress becomes possible.
Do I need surgery for my injury, or can training help?
It depends. Anyone giving you a quick answer without fully understanding your case is guessing.
One thing is certain: whether you choose surgery or training, only one of them is reversible. For many, the right training plan works - but it requires commitment, not shortcuts.
How can I improve my athletic performance without risking injury?
Injuries aren’t bad luck. They usually come from poor planning, ignored warning signs, or pushing through pain. Performance and injury prevention go hand in hand.
A smart programme builds weak links, manages load, and adjusts based on feedback - not ego.
Here's why most training programmes fall short of doing that.
Why do injuries keep stopping me even when I’m fit?
Many athletes are strong, conditioned, and “fit” - yet they still miss training or competitions because of their injuries. Fitness alone isn’t enough.
What matters is how your body recovers, handles load, and progresses over time.
I’ve seen many providers before - what will you do differently?
I listen, I investigate, and I don’t put everyone on the same plan. What works for someone else may not work for you - and that’s why cookie-cutter approaches often fail.
Together, we identify what’s really holding you back and build the right way forward.
Can I keep playing sports in my 40s and 50s without constant pain?
Yes - only if you’re willing to train smart and listen to your body. You may not move like you did in your 20s, but pain doesn’t have to be the trade-off.
With the right plan, you can stay active and competitive for decades.
What makes Victor different from a physiotherapist, chiropractor, or personal trainer?
Clients sometimes call me their "physiotherapist" - it's the easiest label to reach for. I'm actually a physical preparation coach: my focus is developing that individualized approach for you to progress in your sport and life, not condition diagnosis or medical treatment.
Each of those professions has its strengths. My work centres on investigating why your injuries keep coming back, or why you keep plateauing in sport, then building an individualized program that prepares your body for the demands of your sport and life. And unlike general personal training, your program is built around your injury history, your sport, your training, and your lifestyle (and more) - not just general fitness, or how you look in the mirror.
Many clients come to me after treatment, rehab or personal training, but the problem keeps returning. That gap between treatment and real-life demands is exactly where injury prevention coaching sits.
What types of people and sports has Victor worked with?
From weekend warriors to competitive athletes. From busy founders to adults who simply want to move without pain.
Clients come from sports such as basketball, BJJ, golf, running, swimming, boxing, powerlifting, tennis, pickleball, and more.

How do I choose the right coach or rehab provider in Singapore?
Ask good questions. Do they listen carefully? Do they explain why things are happening? Are they adapting the plan to you, or handing you a template?
Long-term results come from thoughtful decisions, not quick fixes - especially when it comes to injury prevention, improving sports performance, and staying active pain-free.
